Preposterous!  Outrageous!  Monsterous! ...

What's with our fascination of monsters?  Is it based on the American ideal of "livin' large"?  Like the American industry icons of the past... the bigger the better.  Are we still hooked on it?

Is it tied to the myths and legends of monsters?

Or, is it something all too simple?  Monster.com

All of the Above

I guarantee you it's all of the above.  But, I do believe monster.com has had a lot to do with spin-offs like monstercommerce.com and templatemonster.com.
